Singer song writer Nir Vaknin was defined as a medical miracle when albeit a severe birth defect he managed to start walking at age six. Although he still has difficulties walking, the 21 year old singer enjoys singing inspirational songs about living life to the fullest and never giving up to despair.
Born and raised in Sderot, Nir's biggest love is Israeli and Mediterranean music. The songs he recently released with the record label Base Records are in the Mediterranean style and have already been played on many radio stations and warmly accepted by the audience at large and the fans of that genre in particular. In addition to recording his first solo album, Nir initiated a compilation album of all the young musicians in Sderot which will be called Sderot from the Soul (Sderot meha-neshamah).
