Joshua's 2004 documentary Blues by the Beach was described by David Mamet as: a very, very important film an actual, undeniable presentation of the unmitigated horror of terrorism. The film won the 2004 Hamptons International Film Festival Conflict and Resolution Award, the 2005 Fire Island International Film Festival Red Wagon award for best documentary and the 2006 Avignon/New York Film Festival Pierre Salinger Award for Documentary Filmmaking. His other films include A Will to Dance and Russki Battalion. He is a graduate of the School of Performing Arts Theatre Department, Jerusalem Israel and the Academy of Performing Arts FAMU (Film, TV & Photography) in Prague.
